Rose Shells Pocket Scarf
This pocket scarf is one of my first and favorite patterns. Though published late last winter, it became the bestseller pattern in its category on Etsy shortly after.

If you are getting ready again, this season, to make something truly unique, so rich in texture, cozy and elegant, rustic and modern at the same time, then this pattern is just what you need.
ABOUT THE PATTERN
YARN WEIGHT: The scarf is made using #4 Worsted Weight / Aran Yarn
CROCHET HOOK: 6.0 mm / J-10 crochet hook.
CONSTRUCTION: The scarf is worked flat, in rows with pockets sewn.
Pattern asks for ADVANCED set of crochet skills. Nevertheless, after setting a path of the pattern, it becomes an eight-row repeat and easy to follow.
TERMINOLOGY: The pattern is written using standard US crochet terminology

All is explained in details: stitches, motifs, structure… with lots of pictures and tips, including size adjustment and blocking the finished project.
In addition, a short format instruction is given.
SIZE: Finished scarf is approximately 180 cm (70,8 in) long; with fringes 205 cm (80,7 in) and it is 44 cm (17,3 in) wide.
You will find in this pattern:
- Full written instructions, very detailly explained for each row
- Explanation with photo instructions for the stitches
- Short Format Instruction, which you may find easier to use once you start working repat rows
- Finishing and Blocking suggestions
- You will also find information about two types of yarn, both a perfect match for this project, and also some possible substitutes with very similar characteristics. One is an acrylic and the other one is a wool blend (which gives this project a rustic kind of look).



Take a look at the photos above. You can see that the pockets on each project are slightly different, but made with the same stitches. You will find instructions for the first one in the pattern , but you may get inspired to try making your own version of the pockets.
