Amabella Beanie & Messy Bun Hat is so practical, two in one pattern! In combination with the Amabella Mitts, they make a gorgeous and easy crochet set, very quick to make and comfy to wear.

I’m a crochet texture addict! Let’s face it! When I make a piece, I just need to add something more! I used this stitch first time in my All Season Frankie Sweater and I loved the texture! Surprisingly, it is very easy to make! All you need to know is how to make half double crochet stitch and its variations.

Construction of the pieces is simple and without any shaping involved. The pattern uses a four-row repeat.

So, you’ve got yourself an easy, textured, quick and beautiful crochet winter set!

When I was working on the Ashlea Set and Ashlea Mitts, I wasn’t quite satisfied with the idea of creating just a beanie. I always wanted to try making a messy bun hat, but for some reason it wasn’t very high on my to make list. I don’t really wear beanies or hats unless I really have to, that is when it’s freezing outside. So I didn’t think I’d love a ponytail hat that much!

But I honestly do! I love it! And being very similar in terms of making process, I decided to have both patterns, beanie and messy bun hat in one file.

AMABELLA TWINS

The beanie and messy bun hat patterns were named with the help of one of my fantastic testers and friends. I came up with Amabella and she added the Twins part. Because, I’m always having a hard time when it comes to choosing the name for a pattern. So, thank you Kaz!

Amabella Beanie & Messy Bun Hat & Mitts are very stylish and so simple to make!

It wouldn’t take you more than couple of hours to crochet either of them.
